Privacy Policy
Last updated: 30 August 2026
This document explains what data the SAQA platform collects, why we use it, and how you stay in control of it. In short: we collect only what the service needs in order to work, we never sell it, and you can permanently delete your account at any time.
1. Data we collect
Account data, provided when you register:
- email address — used to sign in and to reset your password
- display name — shown on your profile and next to your reviews
- password — stored only as a cryptographic hash (bcrypt); the original is never saved
- profile picture — optional
Data created while you play:
- which games you played, and the start time, end time and duration of each session
- game progress and statistics that a game saves to the cloud
- your leaderboard scores
- your list of favourite games, and the reviews and ratings you write
If you are a developer, we also store the games you upload, together with their builds and descriptions.
Technical data: your IP address is used to rate-limit requests. It is held in server memory for a short time only and is never written to the database.
2. What we do not collect
- no third-party analytics services
- no advertising trackers and no profiling
- no access to your location, contacts or device files
3. Cookies
We use a single cookie, oyna_session, which keeps you signed in. It is set with the HttpOnly flag, so JavaScript cannot read it, and it is strictly necessary for the service to work. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
4. Who can see your data
We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for advertising.
- Game developers see aggregate statistics only (play counts, average rating) plus the display name shown on a leaderboard. They have no access to your email address.
- Games run on a separate domain inside a sandboxed frame, so game code cannot reach your session or your account data.
- Where the law requires it, we must disclose data to the competent authorities.
5. How long we keep data
Account data is kept until you delete it. When you delete your account, your profile, saved progress, favourites, reviews and leaderboard entries are deleted with it. If you are a developer, the games you uploaded are deleted as well.
6. Your rights
- Delete your account: you can do this yourself from the profile settings page. Once confirmed, the data cannot be restored — the account deletion page sets out exactly what is removed.
- Correct your data: your display name and picture can be changed on your profile.
- Request a copy of your data, or ask us anything else: saqa.support@gmail.com
7. Children
Our catalogue includes games intended for children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that a child's data has been collected without your consent, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. If you have any questions, write to us at saqa.support@gmail.com
